The Brief
This animated video project was created for Sitenna to illustrate an extremely complex Infrastructure System. It had to be done in a way that feels straightforward, watchable and relevant to real world applications. Our team’s challenge was that their platform integrates many levels of Infrastructure Delivery, Monitoring, and Coordination which are quite difficult to describe using a traditional product demo or static graphic.
The Project
To overcome this problem, we converted this complexity into a single, isometric (animated) world that serves as both a narrative video and a functional mapping of the product components of its ecosystem. Instead of describing individual features of the Platform in isolation from one another, the animation describes how each of these components relate to one another and function as a single, integrated system.
The surface level assets, underground infrastructure as well as data flows. And the operational tools that support the operation of the platform are each illustrated in the same logical structure. The scenes are connected, so the audience do not lose track of the flow and the product functionality demonstrations.
We followed our usual creation stages such as script writing, voice over recording, style and storyboard development, animating stage and post-production.
From a visual perspective, our client’s color palette is relatively neutral, so we used red accents to signify activity. The use of red accents maintains a clear and uncluttered view of the scene while maintaining a focus on the operational aspects of the Platform.
The isometric video focuses on the results or outcomes. It demonstrates how Sitenna enables faster infrastructure deployment, improved visibility across distributed locations, and centralized control within a single ecosystem.
Throughout the video, we visualized for the users a clear mental model of how the Platform functions and why it is useful.
